I have a friend that’s getting married on Aug 23. That’s the day of the first home preseason game. What a pisser. I only get to go to 10 games a year, and now I have to miss one. Good thing it’s only Preseason. I’ve only missed 3 home games including Preseason since 1989

Poor Patrick. Preseason games aren't that great anyway. I'm sure you'll have more fun at the wedding. :)

I would re-evaluate the friendship. Is it worth it?

Yeah, I'm thinking about that. He grew up across the street but he's more of a friend with my brother who will be standing up.

I'd say...."screw him!" He's not much of a friend if he wants you to choose his wedding OVER the Buffalo Bills. :D :snicker:

You're all a bunch of psychos! :coocoo: We're talking about the sacred vows of marriage! Watching a couple with a look of true love for each other. You fools would pick a boring preseason game over that?:shakeno:

Come on J, don't be so harsh...everybody does it and at least 50% end in a heap of failure, betrayal and hatred...

My wedding's the week before and I have a TV being set up at the reception. Otherwise I'd have fewer attendees. You may want to suggest this to your friend. My fiance knows that the Bills are of almost as much importance as she is so she was fine with the TV thing. It's being put behind the bar.

True story, My uncle was in town from Cali a few months before my wedding. He’s a die hard Bills fan. At some point I told him that I thought it would be cool to have a few of our wedding pictures taken at the Ralph. So he goes home, gets on the horn and gets permission for us to go on the field for a few shots. So we have a bunch of pictures of us right on the field.

Send him a check for $100 along with your regrets. You'll never hear another word.

What time is the wedding? Maybe you can still make it to the game. I was a groomsman at a friend's wedding in Lancaster, PA the day before we played the Raiders back in 1999...after the reception and a few hours sleep, I was pointed north and made it the Ralph in plenty of time.

Go to his second wedding. Never miss the chance to see a Bills game.

I would go to the game. UNLESS, they were guarenteed to be done in time for me to get to the game. If there was no way out of going to the wedding/reception... I would DEMAND a TV be set up at the reception, or I would leave the reception after a brief appearance.... citing an "EMERGENCY". But since he's more of a friend of your brother's... go to the game!
