Re: Bills must fear that Peters will never learn
I believe in paying Peters what he is worth... He is not worth 11.5 mil a season after last seasons debacle.
Is Peters insane enough to not accept a reasonable deal of 8 - 9 mil per season 20 - 30 guarenteed, just to hold onto the dream of being the highest paid LT in the game. He would be risking a whole lot having to play through his exisitng contract and waiting for his time to be on the FA market.
What happens if he is injured during training camp and goes down hard. He could be setting himself up for a solid 20+ million guarenteed only to see it evaporate and be left with what he is owed on his exisitng deal.
I imagine peters is going to want a deal before training camp, and if he doesn't like what the Bills are offering he is putting himself in a tremendously risky position which could dramatically change his level of retirement
I bet he is really regretting the extension he signed....Last edited by ddaryl; 03-18-2009, 01:37 PM.

Re: Bills must fear that Peters will never learn
I'm as big of fan of Peters as anyone on this board and can say without thinking twice that his worth does not exceed $10,000,000 per year. In my opinion a reasonable deal would go something like this; 7 years/ $68 million/ $20 million signing bonus/ $30 million in the first four years of the contract.Last edited by PH83; 03-18-2009, 01:38 PM.

Re: Bills must fear that Peters will never learn
trade him and get 2 high first day picks.
he is not good enough to worry about. like the article said, he wasnt even the best tackle on our roster last season."All hockey players are bilingual. They know English and profanity." ~ Gordie Howe
