Simms, 5th, and 1st ovr to buffalo for Peters, 11, and 3rd

In draft value terms

Simms= 2nd so he gets 400
1st ovr= 3000
5th= 43

+= 3450

Peters= 1st and 2nd= 1780
11= 1250
3rd= 215
+= around 3245 points

Reason

Buffalo- Buffalo gets 1st ovr which means they can get Orakpo and we now have a elite LB. In the 2nd get Phil Loadholt and in the 4th pickup a G and in the 5th we get our TE. One will fall whether its Ingram, Beckum etc.

Detroit- Gets a elite LT, in position for Sanchez, in the 2nd 1st they could get Maualuga.

News Flash: Matt Millen isn't GM in Detroit anymore, and he's about the only ****** who'd agree to that trade.

You and everyone under the age of 9 are the only people who want the #1 overall pick. It doesn't make sense. It's a cap eater just like Peters, except Peters has actually played football.

Dude, shut up with the age thing. So you would be mad if we had the number 1 pick in the draft? Well we are going after a DE and they would be 10X less the price of Peters which wants 11 million or more.

the number 1 overall pick from this years draft is going to get paid MORE than what peters is asking for, and there isnt anyone player in this draft that anyone should be drooling over to try to get to the #1 or 2 spots.... not like peyton manning, or vick/LT, or eli manning/phillip rivers are sitting there

First of all this isn't madden where you can make these outrageous trades. Secondly trades don't happen that often in the NFL. Teams don't feel the need to trade players. I don't know why maybe it's the fact that players can be replaced and this is used as a fear tactic. Lastly why would you pay Orakpo well over 30 mill in guarenteed money for being the number 1 pick. Jake Long got an outrageous contract just for being the number one pick. You can add about 10 or 15 mill to whatever he got. Nobody wants this pick because it waste too much cap space. Until a rookie cap is set the number one pick will be like leprosy.

Yes but tackles get payed like that unlike DEs. It wasnt just because he was the number 1 pick, it was also the need of the position.

What is "10x less" than Peters?

1.1 million.

In 2006, a DE was picked with your coveted #1 pick, Mario Williams.

He got 9 million per year.

9 > 1.1

By a lot.

You are ****ing high.

I want to know what the record is for pieces in a trade. This has 3 pieces for each team.

Does anyone know the record for most parts between a two team trade??(mike ditkas and ricky willaims saga maybe)?

we can still get good value at the 11th spot as for simms i think we will still pull the trigger on June thats if he wants to play here.i like peters hopefully he will come to his senses and take what he is worth 8.5 is not low balling him. IMO

who in their right mind would trade up to number 1 to draft... Orakpo?

I think that's where you lose me.

He's not 1st overall in any year of the draft that i've seen. He's basically a late first round early 2nd round guy, who wowed the scouts with a workout and "potential", weaseling his way into the top half of the draft.

Don't get me wrong, i like the guy at 11, actually i love him at 11. but at 1? No thanks.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!

Now listen i'm not trying to rip on you but how long have you been watching football? Look at the number one pick throughout the past decade and see how much the contract has increased year by year. It has nothing to with the need for the position it has to do with what the guy at the same draft spot got last year. Thats all.

:rolleyes:I dont know why you start threads. The #1 overall pick no matter what position even if its TE gets paid more then Peters and more than #1 pick las year. Stop posting already

No one wants the #1 pick, way too much $$$ on a gamble and unlike last year there is no sure thing at #1.
Why do you think every team that has that pick tries to trade down?

Give me Curry with the 1st overall pick, but I don't want the first pick. We would be no further ahead and then we'd also have no starting LG as well as no starting LT. I'll pass
