    Bills respond to Toronto survey

The Buffalo Bills have released a statement in response to Saturday's report that organizers of their Toronto series are suggesting two regular-season Bills games at the Rogers Centre might be possible beginning in 2010.

Series promoters on Friday distributed a survey to people who bought tickets to the Dec. 7 game in the Rogers Center.

      Here is the Bills' response:
We are aware that there is interest in expanding the Bills in Toronto Series by an additional regular season game in the future. We're also aware that our hosts have conducted a survey as part of their internal process of evaluating whether to propose an expansion of the series. We have an agreement to play one regular season game for the next four seasons. We have no agreement, nor has there ever been one, to play an additional regular season game in Toronto. Any such future agreement would require consultation and the approvals of Erie County, Empire State Development Corporation and the NFL owners.
As of 1 a.m. ET on Monday, the link to the survey page that boasted possibly adding a second regular-season Bills game had been disabled. But ESPN.com saved a copy of the image.

The Bills future response: After overwhelming demand, and approval from the league, the Toronto...I mean Buffalo Bills will proudly play another team in Toronto.

Obviously the Toronto group wants to push this forward and get as many games as possible. In their minds, if they can accomplish this, they may eventually be able to take the team.

I'm tired of discussing the Bills' future, because it depends entirely on the whim of a 90 year old curmudgeon. Who knows what Ralph will do?
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
