During a timeout in the Jaguars' season finale in Indianapolis last December, veteran Jimmy Smith turned to rookie quarterback David Garrard and said, "It's a lot of fun, isn't it?"
Garrard, who was making his first NFL start that day, answered with a resounding yes.
"I said, 'Oh, man, I'm having a blast,'" Garrard said. "He said, 'Keep it up.'"
As he starts his second season this year, Garrard is hoping to keep it up.
The selection of Byron Leftwich with the seventh pick in the draft hasn't changed Garrard's upbeat attitude....
