Should this system continue? It seems like only the rich benefit. Obviously there is a system and it may be just a good FO, but with NE getting a 3rd/5th/and a 6th, it just seems like an uphill battle to win.

Then SD and Tenn get multiples. With NE getting 6 picks in the first 3 rounds its hard to see a light at the end of any tunnel.

I have been saying this for years that this system is terrible. A team doesn't pay a free agent and let them walk and get rewarded for it? The bad teams try to get better and pay for one to better their team and overpay for the guy which benefits the good team...

The Buffalo Bills (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=buf), Miami Dolphins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=mia) and New York Jets (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nyj) didn't receive any compensatory picks.

If they had this rule in the NHL, the Sabres would be a DYNASTY....

One of the reasons the good teams are good is that they take advantage of the rules, be it the salary cap, free agency, or compensatory picks. NE et. al. know how to play the system. Our FO doesn't.

This is the way dynasties work you have players who you can let go when their value exceeds their skill level and you can let them go because you have skilled players behind them to replace them with. You then replace those players with the draft picks given to you for the lost FA's.

Unfortunately our FO doesn't know about his this system works yet.
