They are clueless and they're words in the past couple days have proved it. With every word they utter, they're pissing the fans off even more.

blowing a two goal lead to Ottawa? Losing 3 in a row? That's what they call a "great effort"? Sorry but they played some pretty mediocre teams over the last week or so- if it truly was a great effort, they would have won. A "great effort" is a 4-3 loss in Boston or a 5-4 OT loss to Detroit, not 2 or 3 goal losses to middle of the pack teams.
