It's the Buffalo sports late rally- you know, the one where they get hot at just the right time and almost make up for a season of mediocrity to get our hopes up, then come up just a little short at the last possible second to crush our spirits once again.

Enjoy it, folks. This is the way up- the few enjoyable weeks of the season for Buffalo fans before reality once again hits us in the back of the head with a 2x4.

I'd love for Buffalo to make the playoffs, period, but playing Boston in the first round would probably just give obnoxious Boston sports fans one more thing to hold over our heads.

but that would be part of the let down.... maybe the Sabres do sneak into the playoffs, only to lose in the first round to a team that they were largely successful against in the regular season.

One way or the other, these guys WILL find a way to let us down.

thing is the bruins are owned by a buffalo guy. so who's buffalo-ness plays into effect more? i'm guessing jacobs will never enjoy a bruins stanley cup. it's in his genes.

as for the sabres, after the last game where we lose and miss the playoffs, we'll be pissed that if we just weren't owned by the senators, we would have been in 7th place.
