Great. I'm sure the Bills organization is pissed off to have New England at home at the end of December again. The Bills will have nothing to play for and no one will want tickets because the weather will suck and the Bills will get smoked - again.

This is at least the 3rd time in 7 years that we finish against the Pats, and the 2nd time in 7 years that we start AND finish against them in the same season.

Oh well- at least we're not playing them after their bye for once.

OpIv37

And the Pats open with 3 division games? That's brutal- they'll be 3-0 in the division before September is over.

playoff implications = will the bills starters be able to beat the pats second stringers, so buffalo can finish 7-9 and some other bubble team gets in due to strength of schedule.

2003:
Week 1: Bills 31 Pats 0
Week 17: Pats 31 Bills 0

Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself (except for week 1 of course :) ), if this is actually true.

That was announced by the NFL almost two weeks ago. It was on every major sports website.

I'll take a split. The Bills haven't beaten the Pats since that opener in '03.

Hmm, that would be an interesting way to end the season. I'm also a little surprised that this is true because it has the Patriots playing 4 division games in the first 4 weeks, including 2 against the Dolphins. That's just weird to get it done that quickly.

But I do love this one for the Pats....

per PFT

UPDATE: We’re told that this isn’t the actual schedule, and that someone at the team’s web site plugged them in randomly to complete the grid.

I got the feeling that without assigned weeks/times, that it was a plug-in. Or maybe they're just saying that to save face...

Playoff implications?? Really??

You have a crystal ball, Ms. Cleo?? Really?? How many teams go from losing records to fighting for a playoff spot within a year?? and why do I have to point out that obvious statement to a Phins fan who experienced it first hand??

Besides... playoff implications could also mean NE is fighting for a spot and we have a chance to ruin it. Really.

Considering they list the first 8 games at home and the last 8 games on the road, that can't be the actual order.

People, other than two games -the MNF against Buffalo and the 10/25 game against the Bucs nothing is being listed other than who they are playing. It says dates and times TBD...I do not even think it is an attempt on a April Fool's joke...speaking of which, I wonder if Log will do his traditional April Fools joke this year...

The Fins changed their GM, changed their coach, cut a lot of dead weight and brought in young players. THEN they started winning.

The Bills cut/chose not to re-sign a bunch of guys, added a center, lost Greer, added TO and added a back-up corner. It doesn't take a crystal ball to see that this team is more than a back up corner and TO away from the playoffs.

Playoff implications?? Really??

Not that I think the Bills will be a playoff team at this point, but how do you know they won't??? Honestly, did you think the Phins would be in the playoffs last year? Don't get me wrong, saying it has "playoff implications" is somewhat premature, but let's not pretend to know how the season will play out.

Are you kidding me?

Is there any reason the league needs to hook them up every single year?

Last year we didnt play them for the first 10 weeks which gave them time to develop Cassell... Or that we couldnt capitalize on the Brady injury. This year they get us right off the bat in THEIR stadium... Maybe we get to play them in Buffalo when its really nasty.

And its 4-1

you're kidding right?

I love that optimism... but unless we find a passrush and shore up that o-line, we're looking at a 4 win season

btw: that's clearly not the schedule... I'm addressing the first comment about week 17 holding playoff implications.

Damn, dude... I don't know how I could root for this team year in year out if I had this little hope for them. No rose colored glasses, but what is it worth if you dismiss our chances this early on?
