Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier announced today the Sabres have signed defenseman Matt Generous to a one-year entry level contract. Generous was Buffalo’s seventh-round selection (208th overall) in the 2005 Entry Draft.

This one is not pointless. They did sign a guy they drafted. Not sure he will ever be any thing but depth, but Guastad was a 7th round pick too so who knows?

Nah, this one is still pointless. The only thing people who have replied to this thread have discussed is how pointless it is...not the guy they signed. I'm not saying he might not turn into a good player, but nobody really give a s**t about this topic...thus, it's pointless.

At Least he has size, Darcy is better drafting in the later rounds than he is in the top rounds so hopefully he has some shot at a future
1yr deal isnt saying much, i thought they usually get 3 yrs?
