    BJ Raji tests positive

Defensive tackle B.J. Raji, whose draft stock has soared over the past six months, had a positive drug test at February's combine, NFL team sources have told SI.com. It's unknown to SI.com which drug triggered the positive result, but NFL scouts were made aware before the 2008 season that Raji had tested positive for marijuana during his time at Boston College.
NFL teams will receive the official list of those who tested positive in Indianapolis later this month, and Raji's name will be on it, according to a source who attended last week's owners meetings in California.
Brian Murphy, Chief Operating Officer of Athletes First, which represents Raji, told SI.com: "We will not comment on rumors from unnamed sources. I do know that B.J. has been one of the hardest workers and nicest individuals that we at Athletes First represent. There is no doubt that he will be an invaluable addition to an NFL team both on the field as a player and in the community as a role model."
Raji declined comment when reached by SI.com.

    there's more

but it's safe to say he won't be drafted i the top 10 anymore

at this point we cannot gamble on Raji. Not worth drafting an impact starter player only to see him get suspended for 4 games, and who knows what else happens in the years ahead.

NOPE BJ is not in the equation anymore at #11 IMO

exactly. The bills don't care about character anymore. They are desperate to win.

This is a bummer. But Raji is a phenom, if he's there at 11 and we pass on him thats a crucial mistake.

Sometimes you got to break an egg to make an omelet.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
              It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I 2nd that. Im not too worried about a player smoking a little of the green stuff every now and then.

He and Lynch will be boys! LOL!

If it is just pot then I would have no problem drafting him at 11 either.

Yes because all marijuana smokers are the filth of human society and shouldn't be trusted.

                          I'm in bizzaro world....

I have no problem with anyone smoking weed... but NFL players get suspended and obvioulsy that is ok with everyone now....

last time I mentioned that weed should not be a testable substance I was told that what I thought didn't matter and the rule is the rule...

BJ couldn't stop smoking weed for 8 weeks before the combine, will he really be able to when he has millions in his pocket and he's chillin with his homies.

well if everyone here is ok with it then I am too. This world needs to embrace dopers not persecute them. I'm going to go smoke to that :spliff:

The report claims he failed a test while at BC as well, anything you ever heard about that? Im back tracking through some sources I have and I never heard he failed a test.
