So much to say here:

The Jets lose...

The Broncos lose a head case...

Cutler didnt go to the Skins where his ego would get huge and he would likely be a mess for the NFL

Cutler is going to a team with a defense and some weapons and a team that needs a real QB bad...

Cutler is going to a hard nosed team that will probably maximize his talent without maximizing his off the field mouth...

Good day for Cutler

Good day for the Bears

Good day for the Broncos

Good day for the NFL

Only in your head. Anyone who thought Cutler would be a good fit here hasn't watched him play.

Anyone who has watched the Bills the past 10 years can tell you that this team needs a Quarterback.

Damnit! I am at work and was listening to Sirius NFL radio and they announced it!

I know Denver wanted two firsts, and they got it. Props to the Bears for stepping up and FINALLY landing a franchise QB. I bet Denver fans, for the most part, will be pissed. They lost a franchise QB and got Kyle freaking Orton. I mean, they got 12 picks now in the draft, including 12 and 18 in the 1st round, but Stafford and Sanchez will both be gone.

NFL.com's Steve Wyche reports that the Broncos will receive three draft picks (first-rounders this year and in 2010 and one of the Bears' two third-rounders this year) and quarterback Kyle Orton (http://www.nfl.com/players/kyleorton/profile?id=ORT716150) in exchange for Cutler and a 2009 fifth-round selection.

LOL i heard pat and tim on sirius radio with a caller who brought the bills up and they said that the bills had the fire power if they would have offered the 11th and a 3rd with trent edwards and that they might not have had to add a second 1st (because the 11th is ALOT higher than the 18th and they already hold the 12) but anyways the funny thing is they said that the broncos probably wouldnt like edwards as much as orton LOL!!! probably because our QB is as tough as a twig (you can snap it with 2 fingers). now i like edwards upside but he is not a guy that will start 16 games every year. he was one of the least sacked QB's in the league last year and still missed significant time. T.O. means nothing if trent doesnt stay healthy everyone saw how poor Housh and ocho cinco did with fitz last year and without a LG a center that has never started 16 games and honestly maybe a new rookie LT i wouldnt expect trent to start 16 games next season, and this isnt to be a downer, this is reality. NO PETERS/UNHAPPY PETERS ROOKIE LG AND HANGARTNER = TRENT EDWARDS PLAYS 8 GAMES THIS SEASON AT BEST!

That's the best news all day. In fact, we're better off now than this morning, as Denver, an AFC competitor, just got worse.

Heck, we could even dupe the Broncos into swapping with us and giving up that third (if they received one).

Denver will receive Chicago's first- and third-round pick in this year's draft, and Chicago's first-round pick in 2010, along with Orton. The Bears get Cutler and the Broncos' fifth-round pick this year.

Wow! two 1sts and a 3rd? Plus Orton? That's a little crazy. But then again, the Bears FINALLY have a QB. And they have been needing one for years. Congrats! :bf1:

now that the Bears have their QB, they better get that OL together and get a couple of WR's in there. Cutler won't have nowhere near the talent that Denver had in their passing game. the Bears OL have Kreutz and Beekman and nothing after that. Williams is a 1st Round draft pick but i don't think he started a game last year. i couldn't tell you the other guys. is Garza still there or did he retire too?
