    Walker adjusting to line changes

With the state of free agency in the NFL, change is inevitable. Year to year an average of 20 to 25 percent of the roster turns over, sometimes more. Keeping an offensive line together however, is one of the top priorities as continuity there often spells success for an offense. But after a season of missed opportunity Buffalo’s front office made some changes.

Melvin Fowler, Duke Preston and Jason Whittle were not avidly pursued by the club to re-sign and Derrick Dockery was released as well as tight end Robert Royal. At least 40 percent of Buffalo’s offensive line will be different in 2009, 50 percent if you count Royal.

When you draft poorly and/or sign the wrong FAs, you put yourself in constant rebuilding stage.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Can we at least re-sign Peters so the number does not go up to 67%?

Walker was a great signing, and to a lesser extent, so was Chambers.

well, we paid him a lot of money even though he did give up a lot of sacks with the raiders when we brought him in. Isn't that what people here are *****ing about when it comes to Peters?

vs. crappy teams. NO proof that he can play LT for an entire season.

What happens when Walker wants to be paid LT money and thinks he should be worth more than a rookie LT?

Peters played crappy against bad teams, average teams and good teams last year.

peters looked bad against every team. 11.5 sacks. awesome.

no ones denying that. No ones denying his hold out screwed him up. Still doesn't mean Walker can handle a whole year at LT.

So what? The same can be said about Walker when we signed him and people said it was a bad signing. When we signed Walker he was a nobody but Peters just made it to a well deserved probowl.

So why didn't you answer the latter part of my post? What happens if Walker wants LT money worth more than Long ,after all like Walker himself said "business is business".

pretty simple.. we trade him or force him to hold out just the same. Peters is not worth 11 -12 million, and neither is Walker, so your analogy is pretty frickin lame iff your trying to drum up a pro peters argument

The real question is . "Is Walker a big douche bag like Peters ?"

I'm all for signing Peters, but Peters needs ot take his head out of his ass. He is not getting 12 million per season, nor is he going to get 11 million. The Bills have a very generous offer on the table that would pay Peters about 8.5 million per year which was the average of the top 5 OL in the game. If that is not good enough for Peters then he should be invited to a blanket party by pissed off Bills fans who know he is just being a huge friggin greedy douche bag, and would rather hold Buffalo hostage then try and be apart of team.

Peters does not have a single argument in his favor besides the Bills and fans being desperate. He is doing nothing but preying on the team and trying to take advantage of the Bills situation.

Walker's contract shocked many in the beginning. his contract doesn't look so bad as time goes on.
