Just reading the TAMPA TRIBUNE this AM and they have a nice article about Angelo Crowell on becoming the starter for the Tampa Bay Bucs.

ANGELO QUOTED......THE BILLS wanted me back to be the starter but I wanted a change of scenary.....

Tampa's medical staff said CROWELL is back 100% and aced his physical, and film tests..

GOOD LUCK TO ANGELO in TAMPA...
I honestly wish he wa sa starter in BUFFALO STILL!!!!

Now people can stop saying the Bills always let their good players leave......the good players just dont want to stay in Buffalo anymore.

Who would, given our long playoff drought and uncertain future.

Well at least this shows us that Ellison will not be the starting linebacker come week 1. Give me Follet, Freeman, Jay Williams, McRath, Mikillop, Levy in the 4th.

BS

So he left for a 1 year deal change of scenery? Give me a break

He wanted a multi year deal the Bills didnt give him one the Bucs offered a lil more on the one year deal and he went there plain and simple

lots of guys ace their physicals after coming back from a serious injury, but are lacking the "oomph", if you will, the burst and explosive ability. You'll never know if he is back to his old self until he plays a game

Funny how so much stock is put into player press conferences. He's saying the right things for the Tampa press. It shows he chose to be there blah blah blah
If he makes it through the season without re-injury it will be a miracle.

I can't blame him. Tampa does have good strip clubs.

It's probably the bitterness from the way they threw him on IR last season....

I'm still not heartbroken we didn't re-sign him.

Oh, and the reason he went to Tampa was because they offered him the most money. 99.6% of all NFL players will play where the money is.

The Bills let their best players go when they decide to put them on IR and screw their contract year.

Seriously, you are trying to give the FO credit for trying to keep a player that they pissed off?

Why should Crowell be pissed at the Bills for what happened last year? Had he gotten the minor procedure, he'd have missed probably 1/3-1/2 of the season and been less than 100% for the remainder of it, while needing to have the major surgery done anyway. With the way it happened, he was paid $1.75M to get the surgery he really needed, and ended-up getting a 1-year $2M salary the following (this) year, to audition for a fat new contract next year.

That being said, while he's probably better than Ellison, he's still highly overrated by many here. I'm sure TB will be as frustrated with him as they were with June.
