    Fast freddie appears at OBD

    Fred Jackson attends

Bills running back Fred Jackson, whose contract is up but who is tied to the Bills as an exclusive rights free agent, showed up for offseason conditioning work starting on Wednesday. Jackson had stayed away from the team's organized workout sessions the past several weeks while his representatives have talked to the Bills about a new long-term contract. There has been no progress of note in negotiations to this point, but Jackson is participating with his teammates.

see it's not all bad... Glad to see freddie put it aside and is here to get ready. I do believe Freddie will get his deal in time.

he knows he has no choice but to stay here...he cant follow peters methods. He is going to be the #1 RB for the first 3 games...and maybe longer as lynch adjusts to running behind a half new oline...they could split more carries than last year.

Hopefully we'll start paying people who we should be paying and stop giving relief checks to scrubs like Kelsay and McIntyre.

Fast Freddy was someone else. He is Fred "the Gem" Jackson ~ The diamond in the rough.

With Lynch's suspension being 3 games, i think Freddie just gained quite a bit of leverage.

Fred Jackson deserves to be paid.

And "Fast Freddie" is actually Freddie (Jonathan) Smith. He left the Bills years ago.

I think its good faith. I really believe he will get a contract. They are probably just trying to hammer everything out. I expect that he should have his deal done. Right around the draft.

                    Action Jackson people.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
                    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Stroud shows up. Stroud gets paid.

Peters doesn't show. Peters doesn't get paid. (tbd)

Jackson shows up. Fill in the blanks.

by the law of Modus tollens (sp?), Jackson gets paid.

I wouldn't pay Jackson this year unless he takes a deal similar to the one Peters is *****ing about having now. While I really like Fred, I don't think its worth having two huge RB contracts on the books.

He won't get paid as much as Marshawn but he deserves a significant raise.

The deal Peters has NOW is considerably more then what I would pay Freddie.

freddie deserves a 1.5 mil per contract with incentives if he plays more, and hits targets.
