Bills sign G/C McKinney

The Bills have made a move to address their need for depth on the interior line by signing veteran guard and center Seth McKinney. He played the past two years for the Cleveland Browns, starting three games last year and eight games in 2007. He previously started 13 games in 2005 and 16 games in 2004 for Miami. McKinney, who will be 30 in June, is a 6-foot-3, 310-pounder. From this perspective, he looks like a versatile sixth man on the interior of the line, behind the center and both starting guards. I would still call Kirk Chambers the strong favorite to start at left guard, based on the current roster.

I was just having a conversation with a fellow fan yesterday and was reading him the Vets that were still out there on the OL. We mentioned him as a good player who was still unsigned.

Not a bad signing. But Im pretty sure we should still draft a guard or center high, but doesn't look like it will happen.

This is really funny because it was on wikipedia earlier that McKinnie had signed with the Bills. But I thought to myself "Well, every time something comes up on wikipedia about the Bills signing someone, it isn't true, so it's not even worth posting."

Either way, glad to see they're addressing the depth there. Still need to add at least a couple more guys, imo.

I like this pickup. He can backup at C and G, leaving one more skill position player that can be active on gameday.
