With Jason Peters rumored to be heading out the door, who will step up to keep Trent Edwards on his feet? It is not looking good for Buffalo Bills fans at the current moment. The Bills already have a hole at left guard and a career backup center manning the most pivotal spot on the line. Is this team ready to let go of Jason Peters the "pro bowl" caliber player? Can this most likely revamped, full of guys short on experience line hold up and help this team make a play-off push? Fragile Trent won't be in games long if he doesn't have some serious beef up front to keep him out of the emergency room. Does the fact that Peters and the OBD brass are far apart mean the Bills are looking at a left tackle with pick 11. It seems like things could be going that way. Perhaps OBD has an eye on Michael Oher. A man with a similar skill set as Peters and about five years younger, could be a likely replacement. You have to believe that if he is available at pick 11 and the possibility of him being the best tackle in this draft that OBD would pull the trigger. He would get paid a fourth of what Peters is demanding with just as much upside. The most likely team looking for a guy like Peters is the Eagles. They let go of Tra Thomas and have no tackle to step in and take his place. They virtually have no shot at any of the top tackles in this years class. It would make sense for the Bills to trade him for Philly's 21st overall pick. Throw in a couple later round picks and you got a deal. The Bills could conviently use that 21st pick to pick up the tight end they are looking for in Brandon Pettigrew. With the defense being ranked 14th last year and a healthy Schobel there is no point in hitting the defense early. You can get a quality situational end in round two. Throw in the fact that this linebacking class is deep you could probably get a sam(will) in the third round. Throw in a left guard and this team might be ready to compete come September.

I think if he does get dealt, it'll be for good compensation. Either a good batch of draft picks, or another o-lineman will be packaged within the deal. I have faith in our organization that they know that Peters is valuable, and he can't just be let go w/o some serious compensation.

BTW, welcome to the board Mickey!!!
