I don't think it really means anything, but per records of 2008, the toughest schedule:

1. Miami
2. Carolina
3. New England
4. Atlanta
5. Tampa Bay

Easiest schedule:
1. Chicago
2. Minnesota
3. Green Bay
4. Pittsburgh
5. Baltimore

You're right, it doesn't alway end up meaning much. I think that last year, the Steelers had the toughest schedule by far, based on 2007's records. They ended up having the 8th toughest schedule, or something like that, based on 2008's records.

It's an OK indicator of what range your schedule difficulty will end up being, but it's not an EXACT indicator, as should be obvious.

Interesting, nonetheless.

Cant view the video at work, but did it say where we ranked?
Just wondering how close we would have been to the easist top5 list if we had one a few of our divisional games.

Easiest schedule:
1. Chicago

That's because they have the 0-16 Lions in their division.

They must be giving Pittsburgh an easy schedule due to how hard their schedule was last year.

Actually all the teams on the easiest schedule plays the Lions.
