    Rhodes in Buffalo

In another exploratory move for possible backfield depth since star runner Marshawn Lynch has been suspended for three games by the NFL, the Buffalo Bills met with former Indianapolis Colts and Oakland Raiders running back Dominic Rhodes on Tuesday, according to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com.

I thought he was effective this year in Indy, and I've been wondering if they would talk to him.

he visited a few years back when we traded McGahee, I don't think much has changed but he would be good to bring in.

bottom line is we need another RB and they don't want to draft another one

He's got a DWI of his own on record. He should fit right in.

over 500 yards last season and he only had 4 starts. he is good at catching out of the backfield and honestly would give us 3 solid running backs. also he is fine with sharing the load, as he has always done it his whole career.

Agreed with Jimbo, he's shared plenty, through Edge, Addai, and in Oakland, I wouldn't mind signing him, even with the bad rep.

BUT.. Is the Omon experiment really over? He had very few reps at times when it was pretty much "We're going to run the ball, stack the line" situations for the opposing D. If the X man can't get it done and we don't sign Rhodes, I'm 100% behind picking up a RB in the late rounds, like Ian Johnson (have always loved him out of Boise State, GREAT runner) or Javon Ringer out of Mich. State. If this Freddy J deal doesn't get signed, we need a second back, since Marshawn tends to get injured and breathed out early.

We really suck at picking RBs in the later rounds. Stick with the undrafted ones, i guess.

I've said in a number of threads that i'm not against getting a RB, but i am stunned that we can't draft one worth ****. Omon should be able to be a backup for 3 games. this is ridiculous on how bad these drafts are.

If we are gonna pick terrible players in the late rounds anyways, might as well be at positions in actual need. How are we so enamored with the "value" of these steals in the day two when they can't even hold a 3rd string RB spot?

Don't tell DB that, he might jump down your throat. I couldn't stand Omon and I seriously hope he doesn't make the roster when TC breaks.
