Former Bill Travis Henry sentenced to minimum of 10 years to life

BILLINGS, Mont. -- Former NFL player Travis Henry has signed a plea deal with prosecutors in which he admits to a single cocaine conspiracy charge in exchange for two other charges being dropped.

Under a plea deal filed with the court Tuesday, the 30-year-old Henry will admit to conspiracy to possess at least 11 pounds of cocaine with intent to distribute the drug.

If U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull accepts the plea, Henry faces a mandatory minimum 10 years to life in prison, $4 million fine and at least five years of supervised release.

There's not many people I say this to, but this guy truly is one of the biggest dumb asses ever. Makes me mad that someone with a gift most people would die for just throw it all away.

If his only talent was playing through pain, at least now we know how he did it.

He's not been sentenced yet. Maybe the Bills can bring him while Lynch is suspended.

All seriousness, this guy had what it took to be an elite NFL back. The one play I'll never forget was the one where Bledsoe dropped back against the Bears in 2002 and delivered a screen to Henry, which was ran in for the game winning TD. I was TICKED OFF when we drafted Mcgahee after T-Hen was coming off a 1400 yard season. Yea true, he is a dumb-ass, and an absolute waste of talent. But I'll always have respect for the way he conducted himself as a Bill. He played through significant pain, and carried this team during that 1400 yard season. If I recall on cracked ribs, and a fractured fibula, from about mid-season on. This man's story saddens me.

poor travis henry...done in by lacking a brain. at least we had him before he completely imploded.

his story isn't really all that unique. in cnnsi a few weeks ago, there was an article about how like 80% of NFL players complain of running into money problems because of too many kids, divorce, bad investment decisions and jail time. Sad stuff.

These kids are set for life, but no one teaches them to handle that responsibility.

You could fit a lot of powder up those nostrils:
