I knew the Bills weren’t get to get nearly as much for Peters as most people here hoped for. Philadelphia not only have to give up football compensation, but a lot of financial compensation. No way we were getting two firsts, or a first and a second for peters, even if he is a franchise quality LT. It sure didn’t help either with the entire league knowing there was no way we were going to pay him.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Moving forward, I really think you guys should put more value into what Tim Graham says, although even he’ll admit that he got caught up a week or two ago in the Peters trade hoopla and bent on his stance on what the Bills would receive. He told me more than a month ago he’d be shocked if we got a first rounder and anything else significant.<o:p></o:p>

I knew we weren’t going to get what we wanted. But I thought for certain we could get #21 instead of #28.. that makes a BIG difference.<o:p></o:p>

I'd have preferred 21 as it would have made drafting Beatty or Britton easier but I think the 4th rounder could help us move up.

As with all things, we need some luck in how the draft might come to us.

Yeah, we should at least have gotten #21...there's enough teams between #21 and #28 that need an OT that we could get screwed if we try to wait and draft an OT at #28.

It depends on what the conditional pick is. If it's likely that it will turn into a 4th rounder, then I guess it wasn't as bad. If it's a sixth rounder that will probably stay a 6th rounder...then it was a bit of a raw deal.

the eagles gave up a 1st rd. pick for a player who has proven he can be the best. The bills can now use that pick for a player that they hope will even see the field this year if they can beat the experienced ones in front of them.

I think the eagles showed why they make playoffs and we don't.
