Traded those 2 firsts to move up and draft (in my mind anyway) the only true bluechipper out the lot.....Aaron Curry at LB?

Would you guys be dissapointed? Not that our FO is competent enough to pull that off....just curious.

I don't think they need to do that. I believe they are sitting pretty and if they do this correctly, will be much stronger of a team coming out of this draft.

If they did that, I'd cream myself. That being said, they'll probably pick Pettigrew, forcing me to break my tv.

That would be awesome!

Yeah its hard to hate bringing a kid like that in. I think hes going to be a hell of a ball player, and it makes sense for some of those teams in the top 5 to trade down and add picks.

the Chiefs could use the draft picks too.

We'd have to throw in our 3rd and 4th rounder as well to move to #3... I don't like it.

#11 = 1250
#28 = 660
#75 = 215
#107 = 80
Total = 2205

#3 = 2200

I would be disappointed. Curry is a great prospect, but:

1) We have SO MANY holes to fill
2) There's great value late in the first round
3) OLB's in our system are easy to come by. Curry would be great, but I'd rather have two picks later on, to be honest.

I agree with what your saying . But ...lol

What happens after this year ,if DJ gets fired ? Will we keep the same defensive system, or be kicking ourselves for not grabbing this guy?
I know your going to say ,you can't look ahead figuring DJ gone , but down deep inside some of usbelieve it's only a matter of time.
I may be old school ,but I remember days when we went after the best talent available.
I say grab him!

way too many holes to fill to give up the extra picks

I think that would be a great move for you guys. Curry would be the #1 overall pick most years he came out.

I agree with this.

Would be a terrible move and give up way too many potential good players based on what someone deems the "best" out of this class.

This team will never be able to come close to fill all of its holes. I say go for it... might as well sell some more jerseys if we are going to miss the playoffs either way.

Unless Curry can play OT, it does not help much.

Right now the O-line is something like this:

Bell-Butler-Hamgartner-Chambers-Walker

Ugh.

No way we trade up. We need to fill some holes and we need as many draft picks as we can get.

Well in that case we'll be rebuilding anyway. It would then be nice to have Curry to rebuild around, but why draft expecting those results? Besides, that still doesn't help the holes we have this year.

Its the same story every year. I seriously think ive heard "No way we have too many holes to fill" every friggin year.

We need talent not bodies.

And by the way that draft points chart can eat a dick, no one uses that friggin thing.

Curry would add a ridiculous amount of talent to a defense that wouldnt scare most college teams.

Yeah, I understand that. And in many instances you are correct.

Now go look at the starting O-line I posted. Do it quickly, as my Mom just beat the left side to sack Edwards.

Im not saying youre wrong, our OL has sucked copious amounts of ass for the better part of a decade.

Maybe im just used to it.

BTW, I would love Curry. I might be the leader in the Curry Man-crush sweepstakes.

But the two lines suck and that is where success starts.

The bills will say acquiring Curry costs too much.

make no mistake im not worried about it, we wont even attempt it. Even if we did we'd screw it up.
