Package 11 and 28 to move into the 4 or 5 spot and take Curry if he was available?

I would. I think he's going to be a superstar.

Still would have a 2nd, a third and two fourths to land some big bodies on the OL and DE.

No...too many needs, and too much value later on in the draft. There will be a lot of players at 28 who could fill immediate needs, whether it's at OLB, DE, OG, OT...I'd rather get a player at 11 and a player at 28.

seeing how this team is clearly one player away from the super bowl, why not???

definately not. curry should be good, but there will be a lot of good line backers from this draft and especially in our system, the cover 2 linebacker is a lot easier to fill for us. Clay Matthews is actually one of the best cover 2 linebackers in this draft due to his pass rushing and coverage skills. he would be 100% perfect for our weak side spot. Freeman from Ohio state would also be great.

there are several options later too. Sintim would be a good Strong side option in round 2, and maybe (slim chance) that he could be had in round 3.

Umm no. We have way too many holes to fill. This has been discussed before.

I would be tempted. I love Curry.

But I am not sure that giving up Brown and Britton or Oher and English is worth it.

No

At the moment this trade has to draft to fill needs, and whilst we have a need to fill at WLB it is not as important as DE or OT

I would seriously consider it. Curry is the closest thing to a sure-fire superstar in this draft.

I have no doubt that we could still find some serious OL talent in the 2-4 rounds. My concern is that we'd miss out on the opportunity to find someone who would add immediate help to our pass rush--probably our most glaring need.

No, we have created more holes than we have filled this season

charlie casserly had him falling to san fran at pick 10 the other day in his mock draft on the nfl network.

now if we only had to move up one spot. i would consider it.

I would consider it if our 2 biggest needs werent DE and LT, with WLB being 3rd biggest need. LT right now is our #1 priority since we dont even have one worth starting.

i've been away from the net for what seems like forever now. few months..
--Pat, don't let me find out your wanting Pettigrew!
-from Vernon Davis, to Olson to...----
---This is a great draft to ignore TE in the 1st. I think most Zoners will agree on that. Esp since it seems like most Zoners are all grows up & wanting skilled positions with our day-1 picks...WOOOT!

I would consider it, but also consider he may fall because in the 3-4 he'd be pretty much a sam without a history of pass rush. Ironically enough, he might fall to us out of the top ten!

But after talking with Lombardi this weekend over some of the best pizza I have ever eaten at Mack & Manco’s on the Boardwalk in Ocean City, N.J., I think he’s going to drop on Saturday.

The Chiefs have been penciled in on most mock drafts as a lock to take Curry off the board at No. 3, but we have to look at Curry for who he is. He’s not a pass rusher and most likely will play the Sam linebacker position in the NFL. The “Sam,” in any 4-3 defensive front, will spend most of his time playing over the tight end. What does that translate into? Not much, considering he will take on pulling guards and lead blockers from the fullback all day long in the running game and match up against a TE in man coverage.

The “Will,” or weakside linebacker in a 4-3 system, makes all the plays, while the “Sam,” or strongside backer, does the dirty work.

Can the Chiefs, or anyone in the top five, spend the type of money it’s going to take to sign Curry so he can cover tight ends? I don’t see it.

Unfortunately, this is an example of players who slide at the last moment, and Curry, from where I see it, could slide all the way out of the top 10.

Heck yes I would.

I feel that if you stack one side of the ball, like our defense, the offense will end up with good field position, and more opportunities.

I really expect Poz to make huge strides this year...and I think that Mitch, Poz, and Curry would be one of the best LB sets in the NFL.

He seems like the surest bet in the draft. I'd rather hit one home run than 3 doubles.

I want to move our 11 pick down to 15 ish, and our 28 up to 20th.... I feel like our #11 pick is too early for some of the guys we are targeting, and 28 will be too late to get some of the guys we are hoping to see fall...

Can't said I would Pat. The LB depth in this year's draft is strong. If it was weak, then yes, but it's not. I honestly don't know where we are going to go in this year's draft. I don't remember ever wondering so much on who our pick is going to be. We usually can narrow it down to 3 picks or so, but not this year.

No. We have too many holes to fill.

While Curry might be the best player available in this draft, he's just a LB. Is Curry a better prospect than LaVarr Arrington coming out of college? Would you give up #11 & #28 for a rooking Arrington?

Id love to have him

But not for that...If he falls Grab him if not hopefully get our player or trade down

im just so unsure about this draft

Unfortunately, we have too many holes to make this move happen.

Kelsay is obviously going to be cut if not traded so I'm convinced they are taking a DE somewhere in the 1st or 2nd round so we need our picks.

Definitely not...too much value in this draft to give up that for Curry. We need other impact players and that would hurt the efforts to acquire them.

If we are going to give up our two first round picks, why not do it for Peppers? I know about his desire to play in a 3-4.

Is there a huge difference in salary requirements for a #4/5 rd pick and what it would take to sign Peppers?

Yes I would, absolutely. We got this flexibility for a reason. Curry would make, by a large extent, the BIGGEST IMMEDIATE IMPACT on our team on either side by any rookie. Suddenly, with the addition of capable situational pass rush specialist later in the draft, we have a championship caliber front 7. But that's not the point.

I would much rather have CHambers start anywhere than another season of Ellison at WLB. Do what you have to and get the best player in the draft.

Get arguably the best player in the draft from 11 without selling your whole draft (in fact, still having a high 2nd, 3rd, and two 4ths) and you doing a good job. Go T, G, DE, TE in rounds 2, 3, and 4, whatever, if we find a way to get Curry, it really doesn't matter how we do it. (though I'm not denying that those positions should be addressed)

Nope.....people thought AJ Hawk and Reggie Bush would be superstars.......both have been anything but thus far in their careers! Stay where your at and take the best available player still left on your draft board.

No i would see if he falls
we need to shore up the Oline now more than the pass rush remember we signed TO for a reason so i think they are going Oline with 11 and possibily 28 unless Pettigrew falls
