View Full Version : Does Trading Peters make Pettigrew more likely pick #11?

for the simple reason that a great blocking TE can help the tackles enormously. If the Bills aren't enamored with a DE or a OT at #11 (and I'm not in love with any of them that seem to be falling to us) why not pick Pettigrew at 11, an OT at 28 and a DE in Rd 2 (one will fall to us, always does). Alternatively, if they love Maybin (rumored) or a OT at 11, hopefully they have plans to trade up in RD1 from 28 to put themselves in position to still get Pettigrew.

I really hope the Bills don't draft a TE this year.

With the realistic chance the Bills will be picking high again next year they can draft Jermaine Gresham, Oklahoma.

I posted this in another thread... food for thought

Last year there were 7 T's drafted before pick #28.

If the Bills wait till #28 their prospects get a lot dimmer for immediate impact T.

This is what we could be left with at #28 if there is a run on T.

We may get lucky and there won't be a big time run on T's and we might have a chance at

Beatty is way to light IMO, and I can't say I know enough about Loadholt, but Loadholt might be gone since I think he gets picked up before Beatty... he appears to be a nasty run blocker.

How about trading down in rd 1 to say the high teens and using the pick we get from that (a 2nd or 3rd) to move up from 28. Therefore we could get Pettigrew and s top DE or OT?
