My 10 Bills Crazy Draft Week Predictions

Crazy, Crazy, Crazy.. Lets see Sunday (and I reserve to change my mind before I do my one and ONLY mock draft this Friday morning- will be linked from scout.com)

    Four trades coming?!?!?!?

Anyway, for your entertainment value.. Discuss!

1- The Bills deal Roscoe Parrish to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a 4th round draft pick (#132)
2- Buffalo trades Chris Kelsay and a late round draft selection to the Denver Broncos in exchange for TE Tony Scheffler.
3- Buffalo trades their fourth round draft pick (#110) and a conditional 2010 draft pick to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for guard Brian Waters. (of the three, I feel most strongly about this still)
4- The first 10 picks of the draft go like this:
    1. Detroit- Stafford, QB
    2. St. Louis- J. Smith, OT
    3. KC- A. Curry, LB
    4. Sea- E. Monroe, OT
    5. Clev- M. Crabtree, WR
    6. Cinci- A. Smith, OT
    7. Oakland- J. Maclin, WR
    8. Jets or Bucs (trade with Jags)- M. Sanchez, QB
    9. Green Bay: B. Naji, DT
    10. SF- B. Orakpo

5- With the 11th pick in the 2009 NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills select: LB/DE Aaron Maybin, Penn State.
6- With the 28th pick in the 2009 NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills roll the dice and select: DE Michael Johnson.
7- The wheelin’ and dealing Bills make another trade. This time trading their second (42nd) and Philly’s fourth (121) to move up five spots with Cleveland. The Bills then select: Offensive tackle Gerald Cadogan, Penn St.
8- With the 75th overall pick in round three, the Buffalo Bills select: Safety Chip Vaughn, Wake Forest.
9- The Bills fourth round will be an interior offensive linemen.
10- Last but not least, Drew Willy gets his NFL shot with the Buffalo Bills after the team takes him in the sixth round.

I think Parrish gets done with Pittsburgh for a 4th that could maybe be a 3rd based on production.

I don't think Kelsay ends up getting traded.

Waters for a 4th? I think it will be at least a 3rd for him.

Love the Maybin pick at #11. Hate the Michael Johnson pick. So, I'm taking it that Maybin, in your opinion, will be our new Sam LB and Johnson our pass rushing specialist?

And Pat, where is the Tight End?

      .
1 project DE, 1 project OLB (which may not be a bad thing IF...) and WTF for a OT

Who the hell thinks Cadogan is worth trading up for... and if this is true then the run on T's was fierce in the 1st rd.

Well - I like the Parrish trade but how about trading him to the Cowboys. The Steelers are up against the cap and may not be able to afford him.

Take the fourth rounder and trade to the Broncos for Scheffler. They won't want Kelsay as they are going 3-4 I understand and he doesn't fit.

I don't think the Chiefs will trade Waters; its a storm in a tea cup. Instead the Bills sign the hard as nails Pete Kendall for one final lap round the track.

1a. Everette Brown before Maybin for me
1b. Michael Johnson!!! Whoah ... not for me, we need someone to upgrade over Ellison - James Laurinaitis
        2. I like the Gerald Cadogan pick but I don't think we need to move up for him.
        3. Sherrod Martin over Chip Vaughn at S but like the idea
4a Kraig Urbik as the interior lineman?

Using the picks we've not traded

4b. Dan Gronkowski, TE, a proper blocker to replace Schouman
        5. Vaughn Martin DT, to get rid of the failed McCargo experiment
        6. Tony Fiammatta FB, if we are genuine about using a Full Back

        7. but I love the Drew Willy QB selection

Overall different personnel but similar ideas.

I like all but number 1. Trading the best punt returner in football for a 4th seems to be a needless dump. What does it get us?
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Tony Scheffler from the Broncos acquired in a trade.

There are other picks for Waters besides the 4th. WE'd give up a pick next year too.

I think IF and that's a big IF, the Bills do not go OT in round one, and they go DE they are going to try very hard to unload Kelsay. He will be easier to trade becuase the Bills already paid his 600K roster bonus.

yes about maybin, I'm in a very small minority, but I LOVE Michael Johnson. Put those two on the field on third downs and let them go after the QB, you'r talking a whole new defense.

and our tight end is Tony Scheffler, after a deal with Denver.

Money towards paying possible vet acquisitions like a Waters and/or a Scheffler.

This is what I want to see out of our front office. Sadly, I think we trade Parrish and draft away.

I dont think so.. he's good enough to take a flyer on near end of the first round. watch a team like Pittsburgh jump all over him near end of round one.

we never know of course, but I think he's going to be a stud DE once his head is right.
