    Rhodes and Vengeance (Playoffs?)

    From ESPN INSIDER

    Rhodes out for vengeance?
    Dominic Rhodes | Bills
After playing for the Indianapolis Colts for seven of his eight NFL seasons, Dominic Rhodes was flabbergasted when the team made no effort during this offseason to re-sign him, according to the Indianapolis Star. Rhodes specifically cited the "year [he] had", and told the Star's Mike Chappell "I want them to understand I'm hurt."
Rhodes, who in 2008 ran for 538 yards and six touchdowns on 152 attempts in addition to 45 receptions for 302 yards and three more scores, adds some depth to the Buffalo Bills' backfield, and will be quite valuable during the opening three games when the Bills will be without suspension-serving Marshawn Lynch. The fact that the Bills throw the ball to their running backs often makes this an extra nice fit.

As for the Colts, there is certainly a need for improvement in the ground game. While Rhodes was not seen as the answer, it's unlikely that the team will view any of the remaining free-agent running backs in any better light given the mileage on all of them. All of this being the case, the team is very likely to look to select a running back in the draft to complement the contributions of Joseph Addai and Mike Hart. Indy has eight total picks this weekend, with the extra compensatory selection slotting in at the end of the fourth round.

The Colts and Bills will square off in the season finale on Jan. 3 in Buffalo, and if the Bills can secure a replacement for Jason Peters on the left side of the line, it won't be surprising if the game has playoff implications for both squads. No matter what type of role Rhodes ends up playing for the Bills in 2009, it will be hard to keep the man off of the field for that one.

Cool, 3 RBs with motivation. Lynch to restore his image. Rhodes to show the NFL that he can still play and Jackson to get a big contract.

      Why'd you put (Playoffs?) ?

The basis of what you posted was an article in today's Buffalo News. It has nothing to do with the playoffs. And it's all but assured that the Bills will have long been eliminated from playoff contention by the season finale against Indianapolis.
