    Bears Haven't Stewart-proofed Offense

A league source tells us that the Chicago Bears have not yet taken steps to adjust their offense to the unique skills (and limitations) of recently-signed quarterback Kordell Stewart.

Per the source, the front office is getting antsy about the failure of the coaching staff to get to work on adapting the attack to Stewart. There is much concern that Stewart will struggle with the Bears' basic drop-and-pass approach, given his past accuracy problems.

Likewise, the staff hasn't added roll-outs and waggles and other plays that were a staple of the Steelers offense that Mike Mularkey constructed after the Steelers went through a string of offensive coordinators in the late 1990s who were unable to simplify the offense, while at the same time maximizing Stewart's strengths.
