This is not a bad pick by any means.

Im not sure on the value. I think he could have been there at 42. But Mayock thought he was the best C in the draft.

I think hes going to be very good but again hes a bit raw.

I like that we went after interior OL. I really think he can start day one.

Hangartner probably moves to LG.

I dont mind it, but I had my own version of better value.

How's he Raw when he's a 4 year starter?

No way he's there in second. Pittsburgh wanted him and Cincy would have taken him before our pick.

Lauenitis, Everette, Maualuga will be there at 42. Along with the tackles.

Love this pick. Mean talented player and addreses our soft interior line.

very raw - he started 47 games? Come on now. If he's #1 for mayock, I love it - I respect Mayock more than any other analyst

Mayock talks about him as being maybe the 'toughest' guy in the draft. I'm not too sure he didn't mean 'nasty'.
If that is the case, then I'm not going to complain about it too much - it's something we lack atm.
Kudos to Gosselin, as he got both positions tight, and one of the picks.

Supposed to be solid pickup for a C to block against the 3-4. Sounds like a perfect fit for us!

Two words... Run blocking.

Two liabilities in the run game gone and two straight maulers added. Too bad Lynch couldn't keep his head on straight.

Wood is more of a mauler. Exactly what Buffalo needs in this division. Mack is good and smart but he is not a tough guy, more of a technique guy.

Wood is bad a55.

How's he Raw when he's a 4 year starter?

He looks raw. He doesn't have the polish of Mack. But like I said, he could easily become the best C. I guess a better way to say it is that he can be inconsistent at times.

Agreed. The ESPN talking heads were all commenting on a probable run on C/G's at the end of round 1/first 10 picks in round two (Pitt, Cinci, etc)

If we wanted a day 1 starter on the interior line, this was the perfect time to pick it. I love this pick because you look at the skill players picked in this spot last 10 years, very few players stand out. Perfect time to get an elite C/G prospect.

He's going to be at LG. We may actually be able to run up the middle next year.
