All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Two of the best interior linemen in the draft and THE best pure OG in Levitre.
The Byrd pick was a bad one.
Just think, Maybin, Wood, Cook, and Levitre. That would have been a great draft. The Byrd pick ruined everything unless he fixes our FS problem... he is a ball hawk. Time will tell.
I'm actually feeling much better about the draft now. Our interior Oline is solid and will only get better over the next few years. We can still get a pretty good TE in this draft. Starting competition for our LT's will be Walker, Bell, Chambers and Butler (I guess). Not that bad as long as one of those guys can be pretty solid at LT.
The conventional wisdom was that Buffalo needed to draft a tackle post Jason Peters. The Bills had numerous chances to draft a tackle but instead drafted centers and guards.
This says loud and clear that the Bills realized that it was the INTERIOR of the o-line that was crappy last year. I wanted Ayers over Maybin and anyone over the CB/Safety but the tough interior maulers are exactly the recipe for impriving our offense. Imagine Freddy and Marshawn actually having running lanes this year.
Byrd is like Reed. He will get alot of picks. Byrd will fit right in. We should not get a TE in round 4 because it would make the Fine pick automatically a waste. Why get a TE 2 yrs in a row when he shows promise.

I agree with Mitchell. I'd get BEST AVAILABLE LB or DT with next 2 selections. Jason Williams or Cody Brown at LB or Gilbert or Dorell Scott at DT
I thought we could have traded down a few slots to get Maybin. Especially with Orakpo still sitting there. But, if no one is willing to move up what can you do.
The Byrd pick is the one that is realy annoying. What I'm wondering is if Carolina called Buffalo. They traded up the very next pick (if I'm correct) by offering a 1st in 2010 so they could get Brown. I hope we didn't turn that down if it was offered. Regardless, I thought the Byrd pick was horrible. I do like what they did with the other picks. Hopefully we snag a TE with our only 4th rounder. As for OLB, I hope Alvin Bowen comes back strong and can produce because I won't be able to stand watching Ellison do nothing once again.

We need to add a TE in this draft because currently there are only 3 TEs on the roster and you need to have at least 5 for training camp and teams often carry at least 4 on their active roster. Besides which, what combination of the current TEs--Fine, Schouman and Stupar--do you put on the field in two TE sets and, in particular, goal-line situations?
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

Fine is the best you get in this draft overall. No other TE can block and catch.

Short yardage situations you add an extra OL as an eligible receiver and on goal line you add Fine and Schouman. You could even add Hardy, if he gained some weight.
