"I think he can be a productive Free Safety"

"Are you going to play him at Safety?"
"We're looking to try him at Free Safety, yes."

That's all I needed to hear. If we brought him in to "provide depth" or to "push our other guys at nickle and dime" I would have blown my top. Hopefully this guy will use all the reps well as he is supposed to be a great learner and be able to step in and start for us as a playmaking FS.

I'm a lot better with this pick now than I was originally.

The guy has never played safety before... he won't be able to start there for a long long time..

            Whitner is in trouble.
Biggest Donte Whitner supporter on this entire message board...Maybe biggest Donte Whitner fan ever...Wish there was a white throwback out that I could get of you guessed it #20...

Yeah I wonder what Whitner's facebook says now.

We should trade Whitner while we can.

The safeties will be interchangable. Catavalos like Byrd playing up on WRs and Whitner is not going anywhere. We have a crew of ballhawks now and a hard hitter or two as well now. Nice.

Our OLine looks complete and we got arguably the most explosive pass rusher in the draft. Im alright with that.

Lots of CBs every year make the transistion from CB to safety. The Saints drafted Malcolm Jenkins to play safety.
