    Miller retires after missing all of last season

    Former Browns linebacker Jamir Miller announced his retirement Thursday because of an injury that wouldn't heal or allow him to play like a Pro Bowler.

    The 29-year-old Miller missed all of last season after tearing his Achilles' tendon in an exhibition game. Despite months of grueling rehab, Miller said his injury wasn't getting better and, on the advice of doctors, he decided to end his nine-year career.

    "I was unable to cut or do certain things that I wanted to do,'' Miller said. "That's it.''
