I think he also had a forced fumble called back because of a penalty."Misguided political correctness tethers our intellects."

Re: Maybin in action vs USC
All I got outta that was he hustles. None of his plays really stood out. I mean he moves to ball and Penn State dropped him in coverage, but USC did O.K containing him.Biggest Donte Whitner supporter on this entire message board...Maybe biggest Donte Whitner fan ever...Wish there was a white throwback out that I could get of you guessed it #20...

Originally posted by psubills62You're right. I think it should also be mentioned that the pass rush for PSU was not the problem against USC. The real problem was the secondary. Sanchez threw about 40 short outs, and PSU never pressed or even attempted to stop them. As a PSU fan, I can testify that the secondary in that bowl game was absolutely horrid. I'm glad we didn't take any of them (Rubin, Scirrotto, Sargeant, etc.).

This year was his second season, first as a starter. It'll take him a year before he's strong enough to be an every-down DE, but by all accounts he should be good. As of now, I think he's a liability against the run. I was not keen on him in the draft because of that.
