You know i should be ashamed of myself...Ive been a Bills Fan since 1989...yeah..But Ihave nver owned a Bills Jersey  ....But I really want one and now comes the task of picking player ....I want my first Jersey/player to have some longevity....so who should it be???

If you want true Longevity....get an old HOF player. Someone that you can wear forever. Or else get yourself a young player who just signed a long term contract recently. I know that it's dumb to buy rookie jerseys...but i like doing that, I get a lot more use out of them. I bought a Losman jersey during his rookie season, McGahee jersey right in his rookie year and a Lynch jersey for his rookie season.

I didn't buy any rookie last year. I decided to get Evans after he signed his long term contract.

I'll sell you my FLutie jersey and you can tape Losman over the name plate.

BTW, you can post this in the Bills Zone. It is Bills football talk.

Evans will be here a long time.
Pozluzny too, but all the girls already are buying them.
Be original, go with Freddie Jackson!

Or you can go with Moorman.

I buy the ones with the most talent. :;

for a current player who will be around for a while, Evans is the best bet.

But, Mikey has the right idea- go throwback with Bruce, Thurman, Kelly, Reed, Bennett- someone like that. Contracts are too short these days and this FO whiffs on personnel far too often to guarantee anyone on the current team will be around.

Moving this to the Bills forum.

Go with Evans if you want a current player. I am curious about Nelson. I was a tightend in college and if he turns out to have a solid rookie season I am getting a Nelson jersey.

Go with Trent Edwards. That is orginal. Not everybody is rocking him just yet. I want to get his jersey myself.

It would be a tossup between Jon Corto and Blake Costanzo.

Maybe you should stop buying the rookie jerseys...it seems to be some kind of curse or something! If you stop, then maybe one them will actually prove to be valuable to this organization. :please:

i picked up a thurman throwback at the niagara falls outlet mall last month. buying a jersey is an investment. i know this jersey can can last a lifetime, and it only cost 40 bucks. so if i live for another 40 years, that jersey only cost me one dollar for each year.

in contrast, you could buy a TO jersey (for example) for $80 a pop, but when he most likely leaves the team after this year, it will become totally useless. much like the favre jerseys in new york. i dont want to tell anybody how to spend their money, just pointing out that owning a sports jersey is an investment. choose wisely.

This is why I love having a brother-in-law who works at Reebok. I get any authentic Bills jersey I want for 60 bucks. So I hit em up for my Trent jersey and my Lynch away jersey.
Next, I think Maybin.

Leodis McKelvin.. He is a electrifying KR and will be a probowler eventually

I got one with my last name on it and the number is my year of birth. I never buy players' jerseys anymore after getting burned 3 times. The last one I had was a Bryce Paup jersey. I should break down and buy a #12 Kelly or #78 Smith jersey though. At least those ones will never become outdated.

I want a TO. I don't care if he's only here a year.

But after his rookie contract he's good as gone as we seem to recycle CBs.

I don't know, I took a chance on McGee because there was something special about him from what I could see, and he's stayed around for a while!
