    Harris, Bowen or Ellison?

Who do you think will win out the starting OLB spot?

I really think Harris will get it. I watched him at OU and like his hustle and hitting abilities. He's pretty good, I think he'll transition well.

I think Bowen is a great prospect as well, the guy is a tackling animal. Ellison is a backup at best.

    Your opinions?

Unfortunately, unless we go out and sign a FA olb, then Keith Ellison will be starting. Alvin Bowen doesn't have enough NFL game experience, and Nic Harris I don't think will be ready to jump from safety to lb.

Bowen is my darkhorse to win the starting job, and rightfully so. WLB is based a lot on speed, and I think unless the injury really crippled his speed, Bowen is the best for the job. I'd then go Harris, and Ellison on coverage downs, cause, we can all at least agree that he's good in coverage.

i think it will be nick harris as our opening day starter. at worse ellison will start the season and harris will take over for him later in the year. they wanted harris all along. they worked him out in buffalo before the draft and they knew that because of his slow times he would fall because he wouldnt be a safety in the NFL and only a couple teams need cover 2 LB's right now. he is going to be a stud for us and honestly should easily unseat ellison.

Personally im hoping Bowen or Harris Out plays Ellison in camp, but I have a feeling Ellison may be penciled in as the starter. Be nice if we could pick up another vet, but at this point that looks unlikely. I think Pat Thomas should be included in the mix as well, but he seems to be a long shot to win the job based on what i've read about him

Ellison has the edge as he knows the defense and has the experience. He will more than likely start the season, but I think Nic Harris has the ability to take it from him once the season is on full swing.

none are starting material, least as of yet. While id love to see a new face there Ellison as of now easily is the starter.

i like bowen but ellison has the experience and they wont start either over him unless they just are absoultly head and shoulders above him at that start of the season.

Make it an all white (is Kawika technically white?) LB corp.

Unless the Bills have a change of heart, Kawika Mitchell is the Bills' weak side linebacker. Crowell and Ellison both have played the strong side linebacker spot. Of course, it's a guess at this point. The Bills know that Ellison has not really been an adequate strong side linebacker een though they won't admit it publically. They want someone to take it away from him. Bowen was even smaller than Ellison last season, but has reportedly bulked up. I think both Harris and Bowen have a little more upside than Ellison athletically. It's only a question of instinct, football intelligence and the quickness with which they can learn what they need to know to unseat Ellison. Harris is making the position switch, but he's reportedly very bright, super instinctive and a real student of the game, so he's got a legitimate shot. I don't know that Bowen is as much a student of the game as is Harris. I'll guess Harris wins it.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

I agree. Ellison isn't pencilled-in as the starter; he'll have to fight for it.

Nic Harris is going to win the spot. The guy is the perfect blend of size and speed for the position. It doesn't hurt that he has played safety in college, because that means he has coverage skills. He just has to put on additional mass and he has got the job. You just look at the guy at 6'2 234 he has room to put on ten more pounds and be stronger. I just see him taking the job easily. Ellison is really not competition in my eyes. All he can do is cover.
