    Cards strike deal with picks

    The Cardinals' two first-round draft picks will participate fully in next month's rookie camp after their agents and the team reached an agreement over an injury protection policy.

    Receiver Bryant Johnson and defensive end Calvin Pace did not participate in drills during minicamp earlier this month because their agents were dissatisfied with the team's policy.

    Most NFL teams guarantee a draft pick a deal if he is injured in a minicamp. The Cardinals did not.

    The issue came to the forefront last year when Cardinals defensive tackle Wendell Bryant was advised by his agent, Neil Cornrich, not to participate in minicamp and rookie camp. Cornrich felt Bryant wasn't adequately protected in the event of injury.
