Re: Now That Jackson is Re-signed
No. The love for Jackson is well-founded. The guy has a story and can play. The anger towards Lynch is also well-founded. He has made mistakes.
The thing is, Fred Jackson can start in the NFL, but at the moment with the Bills he is a #2. A change of pace back. Which fits better.
Lynch goes in and fights for every yard, wearing defenses down and tiring them out. Then Jackson goes into spell Lynch and takes advantage of the bigger holes and slower D. That is how it works. Lynch is the number one, Jackson the number two.
I have a feeling that Jackson would be a stellar number one for a couple of weeks, maybe even a half a season, but once defenses start playing towards his strengths he will struggle. Lynch plus Jackson > Jackson alone.
Lynch is the franchise guy now. He needs to stay out of trouble, but he is a great back and hasn't even tapped his potential yet.Last edited by BillsWin; 05-13-2009, 12:14 PM.I am The Batman.

Re: Now That Jackson is Re-signed
No way you trade him away...in this NFL you need the 2 back set, luckly we now have 3 RB's who all can play, with rhodes contributing. Obvisoulsy Lynch and Jackson are 1 and 2, but Rhodes can spell either when needed and play FB in a 3RB set.Lets Go Buffalo!!!!
