    Fred Jackson's contract

According to rotoworld.com, his contract is for 7.5 million over 4 years. That's a pretty dang good deal for the Bills, if it's true.

    Great numbers for the bills.

Great contract for both sides, though he doesn't quite have the tools to be a full-time starter, Fred Jackson is probably amongst top two or three #2 backs in the league and I'm feeling pretty good about him taking over for Lynch for a couple of games.

He'll hold out after he breaks out next season and demands a trade. Seems to be how it works, altho I hope he doesn't.

Other than the Peters situation I can't really think of another time where that happened with the Bills, but that's the risk you take when you sign guys to contracts like this that favor the team.

              WOW!!!! That's a steal...

I was thinking he would be in the range of $3 million per year (a bit less than what Leon Washington is looking for with the NYJ).

That's significantly less than what Roscoe Parrish is making (and what Robert Royal was making). Jackson is more valuable than both of them, IMO.

My only question is: If the contract is that low, what took so damn long?????

Willis didn't "break out" after signing a contract - he got worse and ran out of womenz to impregnate. A little different.

Good work to get the $250,000 reporting bonus for next year. That is how to prevent a hold out.

                    He accepted that?!?

                    What an idiot.

Glad to see we got him locked up cheap, hopefully in 2 years he doesn't hold out.

I think you answered your own question, LOL. I don't think Jackson was in any hurry to sign that thing.

Anyways, that is some awesome terms and news for the Bills. But, bad news for Jackson's agent. He may never get another gig again (who was it?).
