Gruden replaces Kornholer on MNF!

Kornheiser out, Gruden in, best news I have had in a long time. I have never disliked an announcer more, he drove me nuts. Gruden brings the same straight shooter mentality but with football knowledge. Can I get an AMEN?

thank god, Kornheiser just joked about random-a** and would go off on tangents on stupid things. I got sick of him quick. Hes good for PTI but not for MNF.

I always felt Kornheiser was out of his element on MNF. Glad they replaced him, I think Gruden will do well too

I also believe he's the one who wouldn't shut up about "wide right" during the Cleveland game. I think every announcer with a brain knows not to say that crap at that time. I don't mind Kornheiser on PTI, but he's a terrible commentator in-game.

I dont see how its kornholers fault Lindell shanked the kick.

Having said that, its always nice to see a journalist lose his job to an athlete/coach. Howard Cosell must be turning in his grave.

Too bad MNF has no Bucs games this year.

This could be a great move in the career of Gruden, and in many ways mirrors Madden's career path.

• Relatively young Super Bowl winning coach.
• Gruden's SB was in Tampa, but each guy had success w/the Raiders.
• Although their personalities are different, each has an good audience appeal and unique sence of humor.

Could John Gruden become the next big football personality? A Madden for this generation of football fans?

Yea, I think Gruden will do great on MNF. I played golf with Tony K a couple years ago when he was in Charlotte to do a MNF game. What you see on TV is how he is in real life, whether that is good or bad. I think he is a great writer just not the most knowledgable guy regarding sports.
