Statistically Speaking. Trent Edwards vs Vick

Do you guys feel after 5-6 years at QB.

Trent will have had a better Pro Career... Number wise than Vick.

Vick has 92 Career TDs (Pass-Rush) and 79 Turnovers (Fumbles, INTs). Also a playoff Victory.

Don't get me wrong I like Trent and hope he does awesome. Just don't know if he can do that.

Yes, he's a better pocket QB, but why doesn't it show in numbers.

If we did get Vick I doubt he is the starter right away if at all. I bet we could use him though in many different spots. Another dimension to the team.

I can't wait until Vick signs elsewhere so this nonsense can stop.

Can't agree w/ you any more. Lemmie break it down for you how Vick's career is gonna play out....

this year and next 2 years.... Oakland Raiders

after those 2 very average years..... backup qb for Wash

after that 1 miserable season..... porn movie

          after that.... Raiders part 2

          after that..... goodbye Vick

Vick is a baller and a Winner. He makes any football team better in some capacity or another.

I hate all the people that are committed to losing. It like some fans get off by complaining about the bills losing.

Im sick of it. lets load this roster up with the best athletes, talent, and players out there.

i dont care if we have 52 murders, rapists, sex offenders, illegal immigrants, steriods, whatever. lets just win the ****ing championship. lets ****ing do it. no more ****ing mediocrity.

wait a sec.. we're talking about a guy... who is in the leagues substance abuse system... so even if he's unsuspended, he's one pee test away from an automatic 4 game suspension.

we're also talking about a guy who's been arrested for more then just dog fighting.

we're also talking about a guy who's NEVER thrown for more then 3000 yards (even losman did that), a guy who averages 1900 yards passing per season, never completed more then 55.3% of his passes in a year... a guy who averages just 15TDs TOTAL (running and passing) per season, 31 sacks per season, he averaged 13 turnovers (ints and fumbles) a season...

does that look like someone you want on your roster? We might as well have Losman back, he put up far better numbers then Vick.

and a guy who was 38-28-1 as a starting QB in this league...

On a not very talented Falcon team outside of the backfield.

Hilarious that you do your 15 TD average PASS and RUN based on 6 years...

Yet he only played 4 and 2 games for 2 seasons in his career. LOL

It is actually 21 TDS per season in reality

He has started 4 1/3 seasons basically.

Regardless... He wins games unlike us. We lose every year. He even won a playoff game. Stats can be ugly as long as we win. Bottomline.

                    Well what's his playoff record?

                    Here's a clue: not good.

                        2-2

So your assessment of not good is wrong...he's average in the postseason.

What is our playoff record since Vick came in the league? Oh wait we haven't played one of those games since then, nevermind.

                          well... after

                          2 seasons and 24 games (20 starts)
                          Edwards has... 4,329yards, 18TD (passing), 18INT, 13 Fumbles (5 lost), 35 sacks, 3 rushing TDs

                          3 seasons and 28 games (21 starts)
                          Vick had... 4,306yards, 22TD (passing), 14INT, 19 fumbles (12 lost), 63 sacks, 10 rushing TDs

so i think it's fair to assume, even if Edwards doesn't get better much better then he is he'll come close to Vicks numbers after 6 years... assuming he's starting in 6 years.

He still can't get the ball to the WR's so what does it matter?
