    The case of the disappearing Priest

    1. The lady in red.

    She was trouble, all right. And I knew it. I knew it the instant she walked into the Two Minute Warning Detective Agency. Call it instinct. Call it reading the defense. I see her kind too often. She was tall and lean and her face was painted red.

    "You know, Chiefs season doesn't start for another four months," I said.

    "I like to be prepared," she replied.

    She wore a shiny Chiefs jacket though, outside, it was warmer than a mother's embrace. Something in her voice troubled me. Maybe it was because she sounded like Bill Grigsby.

    "So, who's the lucky guy I get to follow?" I asked. "You got a husband who keeps coming home late from work? A brother who has disappeared? You related to Mike Price?"
