Sorry, but I'm getting a bit nervous. Is this going to be one of those things were he just "doesn't have football in his heart anymore" things? Is he not cut out for the game?

or am I'm just over reacting?

k. I hope that's the case, but dude missed all last week for "personal reasons" and he's out again today.

I think that tomorrow is mandatory. If he misses then, something's up.

It is not a good sign at all.

With no indication of what the issue is though it might not bad. He might have a relative dying or something.

I do hope it gets resolved soon. The guy has talent.

Of course, if he has 'issues' that might be why he was available in the 4th round.

It does have "issues" written all over it but let's seen what happens when the mandatory meetings start. This is where there need a veteran who takes this kid aside and "teaches" him quickly that he needs to be here. That is the one thing that is missing on both the Sabres and the Bills.

Not that it's worth anything but Jauron expects him back tomorrow.

He's a bust and the season's over.

In the long run, it won't mean much. The guy's either talented or he's not.

In the short run- ie, help from Nelson this year, it's a huge red flag. There are only so many opportunities to practice before the season starts.

there's a million possible reasons why he's not at OTAs. i wouldnt jump to conclusions until and if we find out. wouldn't we all feel dumb if we ripped him apart for "not having football in his heart anymore" only to find out that his mom was dying or something?

Exactly, if we just missed them cause he couldn't handle getting yelled at then I worry but I can guarentee that's not the case. I just hope that whatever everything turns out ok for him cause I believe it's a serious issue.

If it's a family issue, then I won't hold it against him.

Regardless, family issue or not, missing time is not a good thing as far as getting up to speed is concerned. Nelson will have to put in extra time to make up for the stuff he missed.

The guy just realized his dream came true to play in the NFL. Do you really think he's going to throw that away because he doesn't have heart or determination? It's probably something with his family, but who knows...

Did a couple of posters claim after hearing his 1st interview after being drafted he sounded less than thrilled to be a Buffalo Bill?

Was he ever in trouble with the law in college? Maybe he has community service to do. Or maybe it's just jury duty. Who the hell knows.

Isn't today the start of three straight days of mandatory minicamp? If so, I would hope for a Nelson sighting, or I'll begin to worry. He really needs all the work he can get.
