    Observations from Bills minicamp

The first day of Buffalo Bills minicamp just wrapped up, but we haven't had a chance to talk to the players just yet. Only receiver Terrell Owens has faced reporters so far because the team had its annual NFL-mandated media training at 12:20 p.m. We'll get access to the rest of the team in a bit.

For now, here are a few observations from the field house.

    * The Bills' offense didn't huddle once. They spent the entire practice working in a hurry-up format. Quarterback Trent Edwards looked sharp with the first unit, moving methodically up the field and getting the plays off with plenty to spare.
    * Running back Marshawn Lynch didn't practice. He was present but never put on his helmet. We don't know why yet.

Is there some kind of Shawn Nelson conspiracy at work here?
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I predict there is a restraining order at your door by 7 PM.

I found it interesting that Levitre was starting and Wood wasn't.

Yeah, I don't usually get like this, but does anyone know where Nelson is staying, what his plans are for the next few days, or how to get in touch with him?

Looks like the Bills are serious about the no huddle this year. Hope Edwards and Hangartner can handle it.

The best catch of the day was a long Gibran Hamdan pass down the right sideline to Steve Johnson. The ball threaded safety Ko Simpson and cornerback Ashton Youboty, and Johnson made a great leaping grab to stay inbounds.
I hate to hype SJ even more (no I don't) but this guy has what we expected out Hardy... the ability to go get the ball. I really hope he steps up this year.
