i think he's a helluva TE but i doubt the Bills go after him. i'd like to see our young TE's get a fair shot to show their skills in live games too.

Whenever you have a chance to upgrade your roster, you should look at it. The young guys are just that, young guys. Maybe they will prove out eventually, but tight end has been a real sore spot on this team for a while. Will the Bills do it? I doubt it.

I totally hate this mentality. As to me this year is the year we either move forward with Jauron or move away from Jauron. I'd rather prefer moving forward and welcome the chance to add a proven TE then a bunch of nobodies we currently have on the roster. Yet with the O-line still a big time question mark it might not matter who we have at TE.

I don't think we should go after Daniels, but there's no evidence to suggest that any of those 3 are progressing.

"Progressing" is a very relative term. Are they progressing, in the strictest sense of the word? Um, I guess so...

But are they progressing to the point where we can anoint any of them as a possible long-term solution for us at the Tight End position? Not in my view. It's WAY too early to say anything about Nelson. But neither Fine nor Schouman have stuck out so far.

The only young WR/TE who has really shown some positive signs is Steve Johnson. Meanwhile, James Hardy, Derek Fine, Derek Schouman, and Shawn Nelson all have a long way to go. For all we know, they could develop into solid/great starters, or could just as easily be busts.
