Keeping with the Monday theme of "big, fat, sloppy dudes," a league source tells us that the Bears will be asking defensive tackle Keith Traylor to take a sizeable pay cut.
Per the source, Traylor is expected to balk at the proposed reduction in his hot dog money, so he'll most likely be released after June 1.
In 2001, Traylor and Ted Washington combined to clog the middle of the line like so many toilets after a Friday night rib-fest, preventing opposing ball carriers from getting through the line and allowing guys like Rosevelt Colvin and Brian Urlacher to run free. Not coincidentally, the Bears won 13 games that year.
