In most NFL cities, the glamorous skill position players get all the attention, while these guys toil rather inconspicuously beneath the radar.
Except in Houston, where most of the off-season chatter concerns the "Big Uglies."
"The offensive line is obviously an area that everybody wants to know about," Texans head coach Dom Capers said as he glanced up at the magnetic depth chart on his office wall.
And with good reason. Houston's offensive line was decimated by injuries a season ago and the patchwork unit yielded 76 sacks of rookie quarterback David Carr. No other signal-caller in league history had been dropped that many times in one season.
