When Matt Hasselbeck struggled with injuries and inconsistent play in 2001 and part of 2002, the man in charge of developing Seattle's young and exciting quarterback was literally feeling his pain.
As one of Seattle's favorite sports sons, Jim Zorn knows a thing or two about calling out the signals from the Seahawks backfield, as well as the immense pressure that comes from being held accountable for the fortunes of the offense.

That may be the biggest reason that Zorn, who is entering his third season as Seattle's quarterbacks coach, was able to empathize with Hasselbeck when things weren't going well. That shared experience was also a factor in the coach's ability to help Hasselbeck turn the corner on his way to becoming one of the league's most thrilling young quarterbacks last season.
