    Billick expects return to postseason

    Coach says 'we're a playoff team' as passing camp opens; Rookies, free agents provide optimism
    OWINGS MILLS - Encouraged by a strong draft and the addition of several notable free agents, Baltimore Ravens coach Brian Billick expects a return trip to the postseason this year.

    "We're a better team, there's no question in my mind," Billick said Monday. "We're a playoff team. That's the benchmark we've set for ourselves."

    Baltimore's two-year run of postseason appearances ended last season when a salary-cap purge depleted the roster and led to a 7-9 finish.

    But the offseason additions of safety Corey Fuller and linebacker Terrell Suggs made a good defense even better, and the running game should be enhanced by the arrival of free agent offensive tackle Orlando Brown and third-round pick Musa Smith, a talented running back out of Georgia.
