All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Albeit that the rankings have changed (some people drop below 50 in rankings on some teams), It should be interesting to see responses of how people ranked our players.
Highest: Terrell Owens
Lowest Starter: Derek Fine
Lowest Bill: Deremetrius Bell
For the first time in over 10 years I will not be picking up Madden...It's not because of the idiotic ratings, but because that game has just got way too boring for me, and I don't plan on spending 60+ dollars for something that will be picking up dust. The game I'm really looking forward to is Fifa 10!
"Expect rejection, but expect more to overcome it."
***Marv Levy.***
"Coach Levy is one of the most inspirational people that I have ever known."
***Thurman Thomas.***
"You're not going to find a more classier, down-to-Earth person away from the field than Marv Levy. He's a guy who's pretty much made me what I am today as far as a professional player and a person."
***Jim Kelly***
Wow they really killed the OL... Walker should be given the benefit of the doubt until he proves otherwise. He was rated 86 at RT in 09. No reason they should drop it that far.
K im 100% sure these ratings are wrong... McGee is not going to be a 82. He was rated 89 with the roster updates in 09... no way he falls to 82? and McKelvin will surely be in the low 80's...
Also Mitchell falls from 86 to 78? not going to happen.
also ellison falls from 78 to 67? also not going to happen.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

These ratings are false.
ya they have revamped the whole system. I actually like this, it makes your good players actually really good, compared to before where an andre johnson lined up across from a good but rookie CB wasnt much of a matchup problem. also, young guys that do well can shoot up fast.
what im most excited about is the ability to have a full online franchise, where you and between 1 and 31 friends can each have thier own team, and do all the real franchise stuff for up to 15 seasons online.

Interesting... so yea... everybody has been bumped down big time. I guess you really have to be elite to get into the 90's. Fred Robbins used to be 93 now he's 83.

I stopped playing Madden after the days of Sega Genesis. Back in the day when the ambulance would run over players and when hitting the goalpost with a field goal made the coolest sound.
I understand that they're going for realism in the game, but I enjoy simpler games with good gameplay. Plus, besides better graphics, there doesn't seem to be anything great and new with Madden since the Playstation 2 days. Give me Mutant League Football anyday over any of the recent Maddens.
