Been watching a lot of film to get some tidbits on how the line performs and what we'll need to rely on (I start work next wednesday, I'll have a life by that time)... saw an interesting play in the Jaguars game that can probly work 2 or 3 times this year with Action on the field (I'm sorry, "gem" yordad)...
3rd and 7 on the opening drive in the red zone, shotgun with Jackon on Edwards right and Royal (this year Schouman) on his left, Hardy (Owens) spread wide left, Evans in motion from the right side in with Reed in the slot. Snap, Jackson and Royal (Schouman) act to block, Reed and Evans take slants to the left, the Center and Right Guard peel off to the right side and Edwards dumps the ball off to Jackson in the flat. If the corners shift with Evans and Reed, it leaves maybe a safety and linebacker which the guard and center can overpower. Of course, Fowler (the center at the time) just went for a cut block, and Butler seemed to fall rather than go for the cut block. I'm not sure if that was the plan, but Jackson picked up an easy 7 on the play, and if Fowler and Butler had stayed upright it probably could've gone for more.
Don't know who else watches film, but what other plays could fool opponents/work this year that you can think of?
