Anyone who follows T.O. on twitter was awakened by this this morning.

terrellowens81: I WANT ALL THT FOLLOW ME 2 THINK ABOUT THIS 4 A SEC...I'M GLAD I DIDN'T, HVN'T & WOULD "NEVER" ASSAULT ANY1. HOW BOUT THAT 4 "SCRIPTED?"

The guys at ESPN who masturbate to his page will be all over this if they decide to point it out, I bet Jim Rome is salivating. If it wasn't obvious, it was about soon to be fellow reality show persona Ben Roethlisberger.

T.O. has a point. ESPN constantly bashes and makes jokes about him, but you don't see him getting in fights at strip clubs, getting DWI's, sexually assaulting women, or breaking the law like plenty of other guys do.

ESPN refuses to even report on Roethlisberger.

You're a Bills fan, and I can see how you're making bad judgement. One, you can prove that TO is being a hassle and a pain. The other, you got a known good person getting accused of a huge crime. Until there's more details, ESPN should use its journalistic integrity, and not report this.

That's just not fair. Do we know the details of the alleged incident yet?

Oh, when Cory MacIntyre was arrested for indecent exposure, didn't that make the front page of ESPN and such, even if he barely plays?

If ESPN sat on the story, I have to wonder why.

Roethlisberger is a dumbass and his track record proves that. Im not saying hang the guy... but cover the story.

BTW I should mention i think Ben is innocent in this case... I think this Andrea chick is a whack job.
But picking and choosing what to discuss by player just doesn't seem like fair and balanced journalism.

The "scripted" comment T.O. made at the end of his tweet, in my opinion is in response to countless critics that are suggesting that his "reality" show is far more scripted than others, which I tend to agree with.

I also could less. I've talked to a lot of people, and I really think if this guy comes to work everyday, is productive and can possibly get the Bills into the postseason, he'll go down as one of the more beloved figures ever here, and it will undoubtedly cement his own personal legacy.

Roethlisberger is a POS wigger. He should have starred in Malibu's most wanted. I watched this draft special about him. He's talking to the other guys "oh its time dawg. this is it dawg." big ben needs to f off and die.

I am willing to bet he did this. Its an extremely descript account.

Kobe Bryant got his named slandered around over something he ended up being not guilty for.

The fact of the matter is, that Ben is on some ESPN show with Shaq and ESPN is afraid to p-off nig ben for the fact that he will give them first interviews, etc.

4 things I see wrong with your post:

1) ...And you are a Dolphins fan, so we can all see why you would assume the worst for TO
2) Show some sort of proof that Big Ben is a good guy - just bc he doesnt get in trouble with the league doesnt mean he isnt capable of doing these sort of things (look at Marvin harrison for a good example)
3) Who gives a flying crap about TO's twitter post? it has no bearing on whether big ben is guilty or not!!
4) there is no such thing as journalistic integrity - if there is a story to report, it will get out there. Granted, they should be sure to present all the facts, but the FACT is that he is being accused of sexual assault...sitting on that story is just stupid. Did you also hope that Marshawn's hit and run incident didnt get reported until all the facts were reported?? doubt it. you are just too eager to see a Bills player in a negative light

You think maybe that's why they're not quick to jump on this? After that Kobe trial, they don't want to slander another athlete's reputation?

ESPN NoN Report is "Embarrassing" (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/07/22/espn-non-report-of-roethlisberger-story-embarrassing/)

An ESPN source summed it up more succinctly for us: "This is embarrassing."

As another person with connections to Bristol explained it, once Commissioner Roger Goodell acknowledged that the league "will look into (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/07/21/goodell-will-look-into-roethlisberger-allegations/)" the allegations, it became a story that ESPN had no choice to acknowledge.

But they didn't, and to our knowledge they still haven't.

I could careless about his character anymore after watching episode 1 f his reality show. He banged a real estate agent and then the next night tried to get back with his ex-wife saying he still has feelings for her. Man up! shutup and play some football or join the "Young n the Restless" or the "Guiding light"

Come on People....

The answer to this question is VERY simple.

1. ESPN, or should I say BSPN (that would be, Boston Sports Programming Network) is the single largest sports broadcasting network in the world. If they make it news, it rockets into orbit from where it is at now.

2. BSPN is part of a larger company that is tied in with. . . ABC.

3. Shaq's new reality show, on ABC needs a big BIG draw, like a SB quarterback.

4. Said SB winning QB has taped a show with Shaq on ABC.

5. BSPN doesn't report the news, because they don't want to hurt the cash flow from the tv show.

How do we know that he is a known good person?

To be honest, I stopped reading up to this. I live in Pittsburgh, and even Steeler fans know he's a jackass. Sure he gives to the community, sure he smiles for the cameras, but see him in a store and he won't give you the time of day. He almost caused my friend to get in a car wreck cause Ben cut him off then gave him the finger.

Dude's bad news, but it is a serious accusation, I won't say anything other than what I know.

If by some miracle we either win the big one this year or we resign him and win it next year he will be as famous with bills fans as Curt Schilling is to Sox fans.

I do not like much his act and all but I sure respect his work ethic and approach to the game a lot more than whinner Moss. Moss did not show up until he had a good QB and played on a good team and they still have not won the super bowl.....

In other Roethlisberger news, Roger Goodell acknowledged yesterday that the lawsuit (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/07/21/goodell-will-look-into-roethlisberger-allegations/) is "something that [the NFL] obviously will look into". I think that leaves ESPN and Steelers.com (http://www.steelers.com/) as the only news outlets on the planet not reporting the story.
